The Syphons apply their collective musical talent to a collaboration with Hammond organist Fay Hallam. Fay’s fingers fly across the keyboard on two organ-heavy instrumentals. The big beat of Chancer would feel at home in the club scene of a Sixties spy thriller, while Sleight Of Hand with its horn section and clipped funky feeling suggests a car chase through the post industrial dereliction of early 70s London or New York. Both cuts ooze dancefloor potential and sound absolutely sensational on seven inch vinyl.
